4 Months Pregnant Photos

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005

Here I am (in the pink top) at about 4 1/2 months pregnant.  This picture was taken August 14.  The other one’s the picture of me at 4 months pregnant with Micah in 2003.  Looks like I’m a little bigger already than I was at this point the first time.  Hope that doesn’t mean this baby will be bigger than Micah was!  I’m definitely hoping for less than 9 pounds this time around.

Ultrasound Photo

Wednesday, August 17th, 2005

We’re halfway there now: 20 weeks along.  We had a doctor appointment today and he said everything’s looking fine.  This is the good part of the pregnancy: no more nausea and I’m feeling great.

Here is the ultrasound photo we got at 18 weeks of Baby Brother.  It’s a profile view; his head is on the right side with an arm reaching up by his face.  We are still discussing and researching names for this little guy.  Maybe I’ll post a list of names we’re considering sometime.  Anyway, here’s the photo:

Mom’s first post

Tuesday, August 16th, 2005

Hi Everyone!

We’re trying something new for the BabyYates site: a Blog.  We hope this setup will make it easier for us to keep the site up-to-date since we can easily add little tidbits of info pretty quickly.  The newest post will always be right at the top.  You can even make comments relating to any post.

So anyway, this post is in Micah’s section of the site, so here is a recent picture of Micah.  He is 19 months old now and we are amazed every day by all he is learning.  He can name about half of the letters of the alphabet and all the basic colors: blue, red, yellow, green, purple, black, white, brown, orange.  He recognizes shapes very well.  Shape sorters are one of his favorite toys.  He also loves books, blocks, balls, and puzzles.  He seems to have a pretty big vocabulary, although I don’t really know how he compares to other kids his age.  He seems to say new words every day though.  Some of the newest lately: brown, knock, Elmo ("Momo"), knees, hand, cat (sounds like "at". He used to call cats "ow" for "meow"), house, nice.  His favorite games are "Boom" (wrestling with/ tackling Daddy or Cisco), "Boo" (Peek-a-boo), and "Race" (on your mark, get set, Go! Run).  He has also been practicing jumping, once in a while even getting both feet slightly off the ground at the same time.  It’s very cute to watch.
