Micah is getting to be such a big boy now. He has now started sleeping in his Big Boy Bed. We set up a foldout futon chair on the floor in his room, put sheets on it, and put his blankets, stuffed toy(s), and "fish" down there. We figure it’s cheaper than buying a toddler bed since we already had the futon and takes up less room than a twin. He likes it and has done pretty well sleeping in it since Sunday night. The first night he woke up twice during the night and cried, but settled back down and went back to sleep after I went in to check on him. I’m not sure if he rolled off and that scared him or if he just didn’t remember where he was and felt like he was waking up alone in a strange place. The second night he woke up and cried just once. Since then he has done fine. Today’s nap was the first trouble we had. After laying in his new bed looking at books for a while he got up and was upset that I wanted him to stay in his bed and go to sleep. Finally I put him in his crib for his nap today. We’ll see if naptimes in the new bed will start to be a problem now. At least at night it’s dark so he can’t see to look at books or play with toys. He has done fine for naps in the new bed until today. Anyway here is a picture of him all cuddled up under his comforter in his new Big Boy Bed.
As for the other picture, we had to laugh. Wonder where he got that idea?
