Caleb just started making raspberries yesterday. He has been “talking” to himself a lot recently and once when he was chatting away, right as I looked over, he made the razz sound with his lips. Then he started adding his tongue in a bit too. It was pretty slobbery. It is funny how he talks to himself now, making all kinds of noises. But if you look at him or talk back he stops and just smiles. I don’t remember Micah babbling to himself as much as Caleb is doing.

Raspberries
Thursday, April 27th, 2006Easter 2006
Monday, April 17th, 2006Easter was a lot of fun this year. Micah is big enough this year to color Easter eggs for the first time, help cut and decorate Easter cookies, and start to learn that Easter means “Jesus is Risen!” He also did two Easter egg hunts: one at home and one at Grandma & Grandpa Jenkinsons’ house. Here we are as a family on Easter, the boys in their matching shirts. There’s also pictures of Micah decorating cookies and eggs. I was impressed with how well he did decorating eggs; putting them on the holder and dropping them carefully into the dye. I was also surprised at how many he did. He did 9 of the dozen I made and would have done more I think if there had been more. I thought he would get bored with it sooner than that. Caleb sat up at the table and watched us make Easter cookies. Here he is holding the egg-shaped cookie cutter. You can click on the pictures to see a bigger version.
Micah’s first ice cream cone
Saturday, April 8th, 2006Here is Micah enjoying his first ice cream cone today at Joseph’s birthday party. He actually did pretty well with it I thought. He got almost as much on his clothes as he ate I think, but that wasn’t very much actually. He also took a couple bites out of the bottom of the cone, but they were not big enough to contribute to the dripping. It was a fun time.
Caleb Milestones at 3 months
Saturday, April 8th, 2006Caleb is 3 months old already! He weighs around 22 pounds and is waering size 9 months clothes. He’s a big boy. We bought a new convertible carseat last weekend because he is about at the limit of his infant carrier seat. We will miss the handiness of moving him in his seat from carseat to stroller to wherever when we have to retire the carrier. Oh well. These little pictures show couple new things he is doing lately. You should be able to click on the pictures to see a bigger version. The first is sucking his thumb. He never really took to the pacifier, but he has gotten hold of his thumb lately and seems to like it. Hope it’s not too hard to break him of that habit later. The second photo shows Caleb holding a toy and swinging it around. He has started reaching and grabbing at toys now and gets hold of them sometimes. The third photo is of him lifting his head up during tummy time. He still doesn’t like tummy time for too long, but being able to lift his head up some makes it more tolerable.
