Wow where has January gone!? Caleb is not walking yet, although he cruises pretty well, even going between the couch and coffee table. He crawls plenty fast though. Micah likes to crawl around andget Caleb to follow him, and Caleb loves it too. They can actually play together now which is fun, and nice for me when they’re getting along. Micah often wants whatever toy Caleb has and Caleb is getting to where he won’t just let Micah take things from him anymore. We’ve taught Micah to try to trade another toy with Caleb but even that doesn’t work all the time any more. Caleb knows what he wants more now. There are a couple of Micah’s Hot Wheels cars that Caleb especialy likes. He also likes books, especially ones with textures to feel. Balls are another favorite.
I did a “Day in the Life in Pictures” today, so I will try to post that soon. I tried to take pictures of Micah & Caleb in everything they did today, from waking up, playing, eating, going for a walk, going to the store, napping, playing some more, and all the way to getting ready for bed.
Here’s our typical week: Sunday – church 9-12AM; Monday – groceries & laundry day; Tuesday – Bible study 9-11:30AM & out to lunch; Wednesday – Awana 6:30-8:30PM; Thursday – errands; Friday – Playgroup 9-12AM twice a month; Saturday – family time. We usually try to go meet Daddy for lunch once during the week too. We also end up going to Target almost every week.
We are working on adjusting Caleb’s sleep schedule. Since having a cold in the fall he had gotten spoiled by being rocked to sleep or at least having someone e=there rubbing his back or holding his hand till he was asleep. So he has expected that when he wakes up during the night too. So we have been trying to retrain him to go to sleep on his own and sleep through the night on his own again. We are also dropping down to one nap a day from two.
Well I can’t think of any more news to report right now so I’m going to go watch Heroes now.
