boys in Lego car

I love Legoland. I wish we lived closer; I would totally buy passes and go there at least once a month. But the two hour minimum drive is not worth it.

Anyway, we had free tickets that were about to expire so we went last Saturday. We had lunch there and played for a couple hours and then the boys were beat and we headed home. Micah liked seeing the cars made of Lego blocks and playing on the big ones. They both enjoyed the Water Works fountains, Duplo play zone, and the Playtown playground. We also rode the Fairy Tale Brook boat ride which was cute. I like that there are so many different areas to just play without having to wait in line. Miniland is also amazing to just walk around and look at all the places they have made Lego replicas of. They had a brand new section in Miniland featuring Las Vegas which was neat to see. I wished Micah could have done the Volvo Jr. Driving School where 3-5 year olds can drive their own car around a little track. But the line was 45 minutes long which was just not worth it. I think Micah was just as happy watching the other kids drive for a little bit then just playing on the stationary cars nearby. It was a fun day. It’s kind of expensive, but if you can get a good deal on tickets somehow I would definitely recommend visiting.

Big Smiles

boys big smiles

I heard lots of laughter this evening and came in to see Micah playing basketball and Caleb climbing on his back. I was so pleased to get a good shot of both of them smiling so big. It (getting the picture) happens pretty rarely. I love that the boys play together now. It’s so cute to watch, plus it frees me up to get things done.

We got BIG NEWS today. Charlie & Vanessa are having a boy! We’re going to have a nephew come July. We are so excited for them.

Caleb’s closer to walking

hands & feet crawl kitchen

Caleb now sometimes crawls around on his hands and feet as you see in this picture. He is getting closer to walking. He also likes to walk with someone holding his hands. He doesn’t seem to use the push-walkers we have that much. He’ll push them for a few steps but usually ends up pushing them on his knees. Maybe they are too short for his comfort.

He also likes to play with cars a lot and makes them go by sticking out his tongue, saying “Mmmmm,” and pushing them along. He also loves balls and is quite good at playing catch. Mom likes that Caleb & Micah play together more and give her a little time to get other things done. Their favorite game is crawling around chasing each other in and out of our pop-up tunnel.

Caleb says quite a few words now including: Hi, Bye-bye, ball, car, bath, bubble, balloon, popper, puffs (a favorite snack), cheese (another favorite food), this (for whatever he doesn’t know a word for), Da-da, bird, crawl, shoes, sock. His “no” is shaking his head and saying “Mm”. For “yes” he smiles and kinda giggles.
