Micah starts T-ball

Dad showing how to hold bat We signed Micah up for T-ball with the Grace Brethren Youth Sports league this spring. We bought him a new glove, ball, and bat and took them and our tee to the park to try them out before the first official team practice. Micah had fun playing catch with Dad and hitting the ball off the tee and then chasing it and bringing it back to do it again. Sam is the coach and our team is the Padres. We have had two practices so far and they have gone quite well. Opening Day is coming up March 1 so we’ll see how the first game goes. We’re brand new to all this so we are just finding out how everything works. It should be fun.

Caleb -> Mini Sam

Dad's looks shirt This is my favorite recent photo of Caleb. He’s smiling so cute. He’s ready to race Radiator Springs McQueen down the slide and then follow. That car is by far his favorite toy these days. He carries it around almost everywhere, and when he doesn’t have it, he asks “Do you know where Radiator Springs is?” I try to pay attention to where he goes with it so I have a good chance of finding it for him when he asks. I try to remember to make him leave it in the car when we go somewhere because it has almost gotten left in Target and probably other places. We actually had 2 of them, but one got left somewhere so we are back to one.
I also have to tell the story of the shirt. One of the reasons I took this photo is that I wanted to be sure to have a photo of Caleb in that shirt. This was the first time he wore it. I bought it because Caleb really seems to look just like a little Sam and it was on clearance for only $1.50. So that’s Caleb in his new shirt. I love it.

Super Bowl Party

Micah & Kayla laughing at Puppy Bowl I just love this picture from our annual Super Bowl Party this year. Micah and Kayla are just laughing hysterically at the Puppy Bowl which we turned on for a few minutes during halftime of the Big Game. So cute. The crowd was a bit smaller than some years but one of the most enjoyable for me mostly I think because Micah & Caleb are finally old enough to go play without constant supervision. We set up the inflatable jumper, GeoTrax set, bouncy horse, rocking horse, play tent and ball toss game in the garage and the kids (Micah & Caleb plus 4 friends) spent a good chunk of time playing out there. Anyway, it was a fun time.
